THON Weekend 2017 Information
Digital Line Management System
The doors to the BJC will be opening at 4:00 p.m. on February 17th. Organizations involved in the Entrance Plan system will have priority entrance into the building. General Spectators usually begin entering the BJC between 60 to 90 minutes after doors opening. Tickets are not needed for the event.
All spectators in the BJC will have a digitally coded bracelet.
Spectators can receive these via the Will Call area throughout THON Weekend.
Will Call is located between Gates A and B.
The line to enter Will Call will run down Curtin Road toward Porter Road.
Spectators will be allowed in via Gates A and B.
All spectators entering through Gates A and B will be subject to a security check including a bag check.
Spectators can exit via any Gate, but must be scanned out by a Rules & Regulations Committee Member.
Once you have left the building, your current bracelet is no longer valid and you must obtain a new one if you wish to reenter the building at a later time.
When the BJC is full:
As the BJC reaches capacity, we will close the doors to spectators
At this time, a digital queue will begin, based on the number listed on your bracelet.
The first person not able to enter the building at the current time will be first in the digital line, with all numbers following sequentially.
As spectators exit and space in the building becomes available, spectators will be called back based on this line.
Each hour on the hour, THON will release information regarding space in the building
If spectators are allowed entry, you will see a range of numbers (based on your bracelet) being allowed access. Only numbers in this sequence will be allowed entry.
Spectators with a bracelet number in the given sequence will have 45 minutes to return to the BJC and gain entry.
Anyone returning after 45 minutes will be turned away and will need to obtain a new bracelet at that time.
There are several ways to find out what numbers are currently being let into the BJC.
THON will update THON.org/TWupdates with information regarding valid ranges

Pre-THON Entrance Plan
Entrance Plan is the time period before we open the doors to the Bryce Jordan Center, where organization members and spectators may line up to enter the start of THON Weekend.
For THON 2017, spectators may register to hold their spot in line to enter the Bryce Jordan Center on Friday, February 17. This plan ensures that our spectators can stay in a warm, safe environment rather than lining up early in the morning.
Registration will open on Tuesday, January 31 at 11:30 p.m. A link will be sent out in a THON Chair Update and a link will be on THON.org. To register, click on the link provided.
Please be prepared to enter your group name, the number of people in your group (up to 50), and the names and email addresses of everyone in your party or upload a .csv file with names and emails. Please make sure that it is not saved as an excel file.
Once registration is complete, the spectator that signs up his/her group will be directed to a page where they will select their time and day to pick up wristbands to enter the Bryce Jordan Center. The wristbands will be distributed to the person that registered Monday, February 13 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday, February 14 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, and Wednesday, February 15 from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM in room 322 in the HUB.
If you are unable to come to the HUB to pick up your wristbands, please email email@example.com to create an alternative pick up option.
The physical line wraps around the west side of Beaver Stadium and groups should report to the start of the line at Gate C of Beaver Stadium. If spectators arrive early, they will be asked to leave the premises until their allotted time.
Rules for the Physical Line
You are responsible for your trash. If waste is found, your group may be removed from the line and taken to the end of the line. The OPPerations Committee will be setting up trash cans throughout the line.
Cutting the line is strictly forbidden. Any groups or individuals found cutting the line are subject to removal from the line and/or Pass suspension.
To enter the line, you must have the previously distributed DLMS bracelet on your wrist.
If you arrive late, you will be allowed to enter the line, but you will lose your registered spot in line. Entrance to the line will be at the end of the line, not the original time the group had registered.
The Rules & Regulations and Technology Committees work together all year to put together a digital queuing process for Pass so that spectators do not have to wait on the concourse, missing THON Weekend events.
To access the floor spectators must use the PASS System. In order to enter the digital pass line, spectators must first check in at Digital Line Check-In Table located at every gate in the Bryce Jordan Center.
After checking in, spectators are asked to return to their seats.
Once entered into the digital Pass line, two notification systems will be used to alert spectators that their floor pass is available. Notifications will be issued as follows:
After the Pass List submission window closes on February 3rd, guests will be sent an email with more information on how to utilize the Pass System during THON Weekend. Guests who are on a Pass List will be required to watch a short video with guidelines and regulations on utilizing a Pass and accessing the floor. After the video, the guest will need to complete a quiz to confirm that they understand all of the information needed for THON Weekend regarding the PASS System. Again, an email with instructions will be sent after the Pass List submission window is closed.
Every person on a Pass list will be able to enter the digital line as long as they are in the Bryce Jordan Center.
Once a pass becomes available, a time-stamped text will be sent. From this time, the spectator has 30 minutes to report to the Pass tables, which are located at Portal 14 in the Bryce Jordan Center.
If the spectator does not report after 10 minutes, his/her name will be put on a ticker. This ticker will be present on the bottom of the screens on the jumbo-tron.
If the spectator does not report after 30 minutes from the time of their original notification text, the pass will no longer be available. The spectator then needs to report to the digital line check-in kiosk to re-enter the digital line.
If the spectator leaves the building, they forfeit their spot in the Pass digital line. When they enter the building again, the spectator must get a new wristband and check in again at the digital line check in table.
Keep in mind that no one may charge their phone within the Bryce Jordan Center. It is recommended that
you bring an external phone charger with you to THON Weekend.
